NYSCAA welcomes Alan Jones of Adirondack Community Action Programs as the new Board Secretary

ACAP Executive Director, Alan Jones, has been elected to serve on the New York state Community Action Association's (NYSCAA's) Board.  The statewide board brings together Comunity Action Professionals from all parts of the state to address issues and concerns of Community Action Agencies.  The appoingment was made official at NYSCAA's Annual Conference held in June.  Jones stated, "It is an honor to be elected to serve on a board that supports Community Action Agency's in advocating and working to improve the lives of people we serve."

At the conference, Barbara Allen, ACAP Weatherization and Energy Services Director was also elected to serve as New York State Weatherization Director's Association liaison to the NYSCAA Board.  In accepting the nomination, Allen stated "Being selected is a great honor.  My role as liaison is to represent and act a intermediary between boards.  It is important to keep the line of communication and cooperation open.
